Not that I think a lot of people ever read my journals (it's the exact opposite, actually) but on the off chance that someone stumbles upon some of my more random thoughts, I figured that this would be a nice place to put a public service announcement: watch Fantastic Children. If you like anime, watch it. If you like sci-fi, watch it. If you like fantasy, watch it. If you don't like any of the above, watch it anyway.

Anyone familiar with my recent (maybe a little less than a year) obsession with Code Geass will be able to appreciate it when I say that Fantastic Children quickly overtook it as my favorite anime. The dub (what I've seen of it) is pretty terrible, but I guess is an okay substitute if you simply can't stand to read subtitles.

Also, if you are wary, as I was, of watching anything that both comes from Japan and has the word "Children" in it, let me assure you that there is nothing untoward in the series. Now watch it...and tell me all about what you think of it.
